If you've ever been in Home Team during a Virginia Commonwealth University or University of Richmond game, you know why sports fans are devoted to this Fan bar. The food is solid, the atmosphere family-friendly and the screens are everywhere. And it's not only college games they show, because Sundays are packed during football season — and this August, it'll feature the Olympics. "We show all the big events and we keep it hometown real," manager Kevin Henley says. "We also cater to a lot of events that come to town, like cheerleading squads. Every Sunday we cater food for the Squirrels and take them lunch at the Diamond." Gus' on Broad boasts screens in every booth, good sight lines and plenty of food and drink choices. The Sports Page, with locations in Midlothian, Mechanicsville and the West End, caters to sports-loving fans outside the city.
