Second Place: India K' Raja

Third Place: Lehja

We got lucky when Lemon Cuisine of India went into the old Byram's space, delivering a tempting array of traditional dishes using organic ingredients and scaling the heat factor up or down according to each patron's preference. It may not be the sexiest dining room, but given the number of Indian diners, it's known as the real deal. Besides second place, India K'Raja deserves the longevity award for satisfying diners for 19 years. Lehja has managed to accomplish the unthinkable, winning over people who are sure they don't like Indian food and getting suburban haters to drive to Short Pump for a superb meal in a stylish mall dining room. Kudos, No. 3, you really are trying hardest.
