You can't help but be called by those fabulous pastries — baklava, kataifi, galaktoboureko. But the entire Greek Festival menu, made by church members, is the closest you'll come to eating at a Greek festival without buying a plane ticket. Throw in Greek wine, dancing and a marketplace, and it's no wonder that everyone makes time for it. Soon to mark its seventh year, Broad Appétit quickly caught the imagination and taste buds of locals with $3 plates from some of the best eateries in town. If only it weren't always held on a miserably hot day, it may have ranked first. Voters have fond memories of alligator po' boys and chicken tikka masala at the Richmond Folk Festival, eaten to the strains of Quebecois and fado.
