Ever wished you had sweet hip-hop dance moves like the limber stars on television? Well, Richmond Urban Dance is the company that caters exclusively to street styles of dancing. Its focus is on diversity and authenticity, as well as creating a safe space for dancers to feel welcome and grow. Based at the Robinson Theater Community Arts Center, its motto is “where the street and studio meet.” This is the spot if you’re looking for pre-school hip-hop dance classes, kids break dance, street tap, or sweat-drenched cardio hip-hop. With an eye on an annual event, its inaugural dance concert, “I Am Hip Hop,” is coming up June 2 at the Robinson Theater.
