Carytown’s LGBTQ+ mainstay, Babe’s of Carytown, takes the honor once again for the best spot in the city to get your groove on to everything from ’80s jams to Lady Gaga. While it’s been a while since we’ve seen that line strung down the sidewalk on a Saturday night, folks haven’t forgotten the thrill of a packed floor, pulsing light bursts and of course, the pole. “Country line dance lessons are starting soon, but the dancing will have to wait,” says owner Vicky Hester.

If you need a Babe’s fix, you can check out the weekly streaming drag show with the Triple X Divas or drop by the spot and snag eats from their refreshed new menu. The patio is open for hangs and there’s distanced inside seating if that’s more your thing. Hester says it’s diligently sanitizing and taking the necessary precautions to ensure customers are safe.

“Temperatures are taken on entry, and it must be less than 100,” she adds. “We are excited to be open and offer a safe place to socially distance with friends.”
