Second Place: Joe's Inn

Third Place: Buddy's Place

It's suave. It's sophisticated. And oh, those pretty people. Can Can Brasserie offers a slice of Parisian life without the expensive airfare, the snooty French people or the smelly streets. And speaking of streets, the restaurant's huge front windows and tiny side patios make this the place to people-watch while you enjoy a beverage. (Not to mention it got a good helping of votes in the Best Place to See Somebody Famous category, page 15.) A carefully curated wine list and drink menu shows off the knowledge of the establishment but doesn't limit itself — and there are local favorites on tap. Joe's Inn has one of the best (and most crowded) happy hours, and the staff makes you feel like family. Buddy's is a Fan institution. It's important to so many people, its regulars got this place a temporary stay of execution when it closure was nigh.
