The Artstream Ceramic Library is a social-outreach project with a mission to connect contemporary functional ceramics with ordinary people. Similar in structure to a literature-based library, the Ceramic Library loans unique handmade cups made by 13 nationally-known potters. Cups are checked out for as long as seven days. Organizers ask that the borrowers take photographs of the cups in use to be posted online. These images and other forms of creative responses become part of the library and are archived with the cup. http://www.art-stream.com/library.
