Wall Street may look a little more than grim these days, but Art 180 has avoided the crisis by simply making its own money. Or rather, having you do it. Celebrating 10 years of encouraging change through creative expression, the Richmond nonprofit has collected more than a thousand dollar-bill-sized pieces of art, displaying them as part of its “Change for a Ten” exhibition. Submitted by children, adults, artistic professionals and any other willing member of the community, each redesigned $10 bill expresses an illustration of potential change. With every piece available for purchase and available art supplies for guests to add to the exhibition on the spot, spend a free night at the Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. 233-4180 or www.art180.org.
