A Richmond native who’s played guitar since 6, sung at Juilliard and worked for years as a music journalist, Andrew Leahey, who lives in Nashville, just might know a thing or two about music. The Americana singer and songwriter takes his cues from artists such as Ryan Adams, Wilco and Tom Petty. Joining Leahey on stage is his band the Homestead, members of which were recruited from other Virginia-based bands including the Trillions, Exebelle and the Rusted Cavalcade and David Shultz and the Skyline. The man’s self-titled debut already has been gaining buzz on the indie-rock circuit. Find out why when Andrew Leahey and the Homestead perform at the Camel on Thursday, March 22, at 8 p.m. $8. 353-4901.
