Each fall, for more than 20 years, pianist Alexander Paley has taken a break from concert tours in Europe, Asia and South America and appeared here, in Richmond, for the music festival bearing his name. He consistently brings seldom-heard compositions and passionate, virtuosic classical performances enthusiastically received by local audiences. The Festival’s twenty-second season, En Français, features French chamber music by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Cécile Chaminade. French violinist Amiram Ganz and pianist Pei-wen Chen Will play with Alexander Paley.
