Set in January 1835 Bahia, this drama highlights Luiza Mahin, one of the organizers of the largest slave revolt in the Americas. Intertwined with Yoruban mythology about how the "Odide" got its red tail, the events of that day are realized as the characters live through and with their circumstances on the 'night of power' and the great Malê revolt which is the most important slave rebellion in the history of Brazil.
