Freelance Help Wanted: Arts & Culture Writers

Do you zealously follow Richmond's vibrant and growing art scene? We're searching for sharp, insightful writers, contributors and reviewers to join Style Weekly's award-winning arts and culture team. We're especially interested in finding diverse voices who can offer a unique and informed perspective, as well as a fashion writer and experienced critics in the fields of visual arts, dance and music.

Please note: This is a freelance job and it is expected that you regularly find strong local stories and pitch them (that means providing a short paragraph that includes why the story is important, how you will approach it, and why we should be covering it now). Please include one such pitch with your resume.

As a writer and reporter, you should be able to tell a compelling story, unearth fascinating and relevant issues, accurately report with vivid detail, or provide informed commentary, incisive opinions and critique.

Email a resume and a few samples of your writing to: Arts and Culture Editor Brent Baldwin at brent.baldwin@styleweekly.com.
