In 2009 singer and songwriter Bryce McCormick wrote and recorded a new song every day for a year. The next two years were spent making an album featuring the best songs from the batch. The result is “Let It Go,” a collection of soul-influenced piano melodies with an honest sense of self-expression. McCormick worked with numerous established Richmond musicians during the sessions, including Andrew Jay Randazzo, Scott Clark and Trey Pollard. “Falling Creek” draws from McCormick’s childhood memories of living in Chesterfield County. “The song seems to be an ethereal expression about growing up and dealing with things like love, religion, morality and independence,” McCormick says. brycemccormick.bandcamp.com.
