Cheetah cubs, James River Health, Saxon Shoes B-Day + More

+4 The Metro Richmond Zoo celebrates the birth of five cheetah cubs to a first-time mom and dad at the zoo's new cheetah breeding center. This is not to be confused with the Cougar Breeding Center of Chesterfield, which is a whole different thing.

-5 The James River Association issues its biennial assessment of the river's health, grading it a C and finding "virtually no progress in reducing sediment pollution over the past 20 years." You can only scrape off so many layers of hippie bathing.

+2 Richmond retail institution Saxon Shoes celebrates 60 years in business. It even made it through the Great Jelly Shoe Crisis of '84.

-3 Members of the Duggar family from the reality television show "19 Kids and Counting" visit Richmond to endorse Ken Cuccinelli for governor and call for Terry McAuliffe to abort his candidacy. Insert your own joke here.

+4 The theater community turns out for Richmond's version of the Tony awards, with local critics naming Richmond Shakespeare's "A Comedy of Errors" as best play and Richmond Triangle Players' "Bare: a Pop Opera" as best musical. And wouldn't you know it, Neil Patrick Harris was hosting! That dude is everywhere!
