The local post-rock, shoe-gaze group Those Manic Seas have only played three shows since the band formed earlier this year. Still, after performances, audience members typically want to know how many years members have been performing together. The band’s musical influences include the likes of Arcade Fire, Mutemath, Radiohead, Bauhaus and Sigur Rós. Traces of all of them are definitely heard in the group’s recently released self-titled debut EP. “Our ‘lead singer’ is not a real person, which makes an interesting show,” says member Daniel Medley. “And if the singer doesn’t make sense, coming to our show will clear it all up. We really are a live band.” Those Manic Seas perform at the Camel on Monday, Nov. 14, at 9 p.m. $5. 353-4901.
