"Grizzly Man" and "March of the penguins"

"March" exchanges the pathos of an all-too-human and tragic figure with the superhuman heroics of stoic penguins. These birds have more spunk in the face of adversity than the Little Tramp, whom they intimately resemble while waddling uncomfortably across the frozen ice sheet to their breeding ground. Here too we glimpse moments of unintentional humor, as instinct-feeling bird meets wishful-thinking filmmaker with a blank stare no matter how resonant the tone of Morgan Freeman.

Herzog has his own opinion, which transcends his film into the universal purity of nature, which we are both a part of and separate from. All he sees is a hungry animal, just trying to survive. Makes you wish for a moment he was the one who got the director job for "King
