Morrissey Expands on Style, Goldman

Enjoyed your recent piece, “Dog Days of June: Joe Morrissey’s Busy Week”. Great pic of me — disciplined, focused, definitely intense!

Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see that in this article, you got most of the facts right. Just a couple of hiccups … nothing rising to the level of … well, we won’t go there. The first hiccup was when you referred to “Morrissey’s deployment of serial emailer Paul Goldman. …” Yes, Paul Goldman is indeed a serial emailer but no, I never deployed him in any way, shape or form. In fact, I did not even know he was going to send out an email blast until it was brought to my attention after the fact. Just a minor hiccup — no umbrage taken.

Your second hiccup: “Goldman shows up with Morrissey in a crisp, aquamarine striped shirt….” Nope, you got that one wrong as well. I did not show up with Goldman as he was already there when I arrived. Also, his shirt was not crisp (unlike my impeccable brown pinstriped suit) rather, it was a wrinkled, faded, circa 1960s short sleeve button down that, in an odd way, looked kind of fetching on the professorial Goldman.

By the way, I’m still “gifted” — just operating in a bigger court room called the General Assembly.

Delegate Joe Morrissey
Glen Allen

Editors’ note: A minor correction to the delegate: Goldman’s shirt was long-sleeved, not short-sleeved.
