Meade Skelton at the Camel

Sunday, Sept. 9

A piano-playing cowboy whose love for Richmond is just as big as his love of sweet tea, Patsy Cline and “Mama’s Family,” singer and songwriter Meade Skelton plays country and western swing music with an old-time twist. Richmond is prominently featured in many of his songs, including “River City,” “Hipsters Ruin Everything,” “How Am I Supposed to Live Without Ukrop’s” and “Sweet Tea,” the newest single from his just-released album “Meade Music.” Meade Skelton celebrates the album’s release with a performance at the Camel on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. $5. thecamel.org.
