While the degree of separation between “ambient experimentalism” and “new age” is dependent on hipster credibility, there's little denying that acclaimed solo pianist George Winston and his rural folk compositions are some of the most meditative and impressionistic instrumental works extant. An artist that regularly acknowledges his influences, Winston recently revisited the work of jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi, whose work became synonymous with various Charlie Brown television specials. Performing works from his second volume of interpretations, “Love Will Come: the Music of Vince Guaraldi,” Winston plays the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Sunday, March 14, at 7 p.m. $38-$40.
