It’s true: Most people like pizza. A cartoon homage to oven-baked flatbread, “Everyone Likes Pizza,” opens Friday, March 7, at the Richmond Public Library. It features the collaborative work of Richmond illustrators David J. Bromley and Phillip Bowles. Following in the tradition set by American illustrator and colorist C.B. Falls, the exhibit chronicles the exploits of Mitch while he delivers pizza to King Kong, Alfred E. Neuman, Captain Crunch and an assortment of other hungry characters. Shown as part of youth art month, the work has a playful, Raw Magazine quality to it. Situations are rendered colorfully with an emphasis on humor. The family-friendly opening reception in the Gellman Room runs from 6:30-9 p.m. The exhibition is on view until April 1. richmondpubliclibrary.org.
