Drink Ticket: India

The nirvana: Mount Gay and Cruzan Gold rums, tamarind syrup and grenadine, topped with pineapple foam. That's one of the cocktails inspired by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts' exhibit, "Maharaja: the Splendors of India's Great Kings," which runs through Aug. 19. Michael Smith and his team at Amuse Restaurant inside the museum created the libations, along with Indian cuisine served at the restaurant. Also, if you get there in time, you can taste one of the last 300 22-ounce bottles of Avery Brewery's Maharaja Imperial India pale ale, tracked down by the staff.
