Dehlia Low at Ashland Coffee and Tea

Wednesday, June 29

Dehlia Low doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to playing its Appalachian tunes. Without an electric instrument in sight — relying on the warm tones of acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass, slide guitar, and not to mention fiddle thumpin’, strummin’ and pickin’ underneath honeysuckle vocal harmonies — the Asheville, N.C., quintet seems like it has rolled straight off a mountainside and right onto a wraparound wooden porch in some summer-grass valley. On the road leading up the August release of its album “Ravens and Crows,” Dehlia Low will perform traditional roots music at Ashland Coffee and Tea on Wednesday, June 29, at 8 p.m. $15-$20. 798-1702.
