Dangermuffin at the Camel

Saturday, Jan. 29

Despite being ingrained with a mix of Americana, folk, bluegrass and roots rock, outfit Dangermuffin never seems all that far from the sea salt of the coast. Hailing from Folly Beach,. S.C., this jam-happy trio plays with the organic easiness of an island breeze, often using nothing more than a guitar, drums, banjo and upright bass. With its breakthrough album, “Moonscapes,” featuring such sandy Southern-influenced tunes as “Seafoam Tumbles” and “Coffin Island,” Dangermuffin treads the line between the Appalachia and an Atlantic inlet. On the road supporting “Moonscapes,” Dangermuffin plays the Camel on Saturday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m.
