Bookstore Wanderlust

I could not have said it better than Joe Essid (“Beyond the Margins,” Back Page, March 2). There is quite a different feeling when you walk into a small, locally owned bookstore like Book People and others in the area, not to mention the treasures lining the walls. We must not lose those precious places with the people who are so eager to help you find just what you are looking for or introduce something new. Any bookstore, in my opinion, is a good place to meet just the right book, but there is indeed something special about a little cozy place where traded and left-behind books can become your new gem. We should all be investing in them.
