Angry Baby Shuts Down Boomer Life

Hacker replaces articles with picture of vulgar tot.

Perhaps the aim was to turn a few blue hairs white.

Monday morning's edition of the local Boomer Life magazine Web site featured a surprise full of youthful exuberance: Pictures of a disturbingly hirsute Kenny Alphin of country-rap act Big & Rich were bumped aside by an only slightly less disturbing visage of a somewhat gas-afflicted infant.

It's unclear when one or more hackers replaced the magazine's content. Gone were articles about hip threads for aging hippies and the unbearable lightness of being Rep. Eric Cantor. As a salute to the blue-hair demographic, the baby extended a blurred but defiant middle finger.

As of 11 a.m. Monday, the site had been taken down, replaced by a brief message about “technical difficulties.”

Calls to Boomer Life's publisher, Lori Ross, and editor, Ray McAllister, were not returned by press time.

The site — sans angry baby — was back up by noon.
