A Litter of Poetry

A great vacuum of lost thoughts, Found Magazine, returns to Richmond care of Chop Suey Books for a night of reading everything from odd shopping lists to the scribbled romantic musings of children. Found founder Davy Rothbart (right) brings a bit of drama to the reading of these misplaced moments, and his brother, Peter, sets some to music. Add to that the social-project-turned-book "PostSecret" by Frank Warren, who distributed postcards to friends and strangers and asked for anonymous responses. What came back in a massive flood of small paper rectangles reads like a gasp for breath, desperate and immediate. Together, these two projects show the potential of anonymity, and the comedy and tragedy of scraps. The Firehouse Theatre Project puts on two shows Wednesday, May 24, at 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets are $3. 497-4705. S
