2014 People's Assembly for Jobs, Peace and Justice

Saturday, Jan. 4. 8 a.m.

Progress is a maddening measure of degrees. Change never happens fast enough, but eventually, if enough people dedicate themselves to beating their heads against the wall, it falls. That is the goal of the 2014 People’s Assembly for Jobs, Peace and Justice. It wants to make the world a better place. On Saturday Jan. 4, the sixth annual gathering of head bashers will be held at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church for the left-leaning to network and strategize on how to make change. With a full plate of bloody cranium concerns from income inequality to prison reform to the ongoing struggle to advance human rights for all people, they have their work cut out for them, but this is not a crowd that tires easily. It’ll just keep pounding way. The congregation gathers at 8 a.m. and the networking lasts all day.
